Almost every business site has one. The value that you, as a website owner, gain out of being able to get direct feedback from customers is almost invaluable. And customer feedback is only one of the ways in which contact pages can be useful. They can also be used for quote/estimate requests, reservations/appointments, product questions, and more.
“Yeah, contact pages are useful, I know. That’s why my site already has one,” I hear you say in response. But ask yourself this - is your website’s contact page doing everything you wish it could do for you?
Common Problems with Contact Forms
Most contact forms are only capable of sending you an email with the user’s information. While this may be sufficient for some businesses, if you use an email marketing service , you likely have to manually add that contact over to your email or CRM system - which could take hours of tedious, repetitive, mind numbing work.
And what if you want to trigger an automated response to someone who completes the contact form? Good luck.
Or if you need multiple team members to receive notifications after every contact form completion?
Or a slack notification. In your dreams.
These were all problems that we experience first hand, until we decided to rip out all our squarespace contact forms and replace them with our own Privy embed forms.
Here's how we eat our own dogfood by using Privy for our contact forms
Once a visitor has filled out the contact form, their information can immediately be emailed to you, synced with your email service provider (or CRM) automatically. Additionally you can configure real-time notifications in slack, and even trigger an autoresponder email to go out immediately.
Any user with access to your Privy account can individually either opt in or out of receiving these emails. Also, a thank-you page can be displayed and an autoresponse email can be sent to the user immediately after they fill out the form. In addition to these features, Privy’s element-based design scheme makes it extremely easy to customize your contact form to your heart’s desire.
Thanks to all the advantages Privy provides over other outdated, built in contact form solutions, you'll find that your contact page will be more useful and easy-to-manage than ever. Sound interesting?
